For over two decades, Yogakula has been a beloved anchor in the heart of Berkeley—a sanctuary where the timeless wisdom of yoga meets the rhythms of modern life. Rooted in the Sanskrit word kula, meaning “community of the heart,” Yogakula welcomes people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities into a warm, inclusive space dedicated to embodied living, conscious connection, and lifelong learning.

We offer a wide spectrum of yoga, meditation, and embodiment classes—indoors, outdoors, and online—crafted to support both new and seasoned practitioners. Our approach is alignment-based and integrative, drawing from the rich lineages of Anusara, Iyengar, Hatha, Vinyasa, and Jivamukti Yoga. Whether you're in search of strength, stillness, or healing, you’ll find expert guidance and heartfelt support every step of the way.

Yogakula is also home to transformative workshops, retreats, and teacher training programs led by internationally respected faculty. Our trainings span Anusara Yoga, Meditation, Yoga Philosophy, Ayurveda, and subtle body practices—inviting students into a deeper relationship with both practice and purpose.

Beyond the mat, Yogakula offers therapeutic services that restore balance, awaken vitality, and nourish the soul. From community circles to advanced trainings, from teens to elders, we meet each individual with care and respect.

At Yogakula you will find an abundance of classes intended to nurture your soul, strengthen your body and bring balance into your life. The classes are steeped in tradition & taught by teachers with a diverse knowledge base. Explore the breadth of movement practices including various styles of yoga, pilates, or drop into a meditation class or community event. Teachers offer guidance for all levels and all bodies.

200 & 300 Hour Yoga Teacher Training

We invite you to engage in a deeper relationship with yourself, your community and your yoga practice. Designed for committed yoga students, aspiring teachers, and yoga teachers seeking to enhance and refine their abilities, Yogakula trainings provide a solid foundation in the practices, methodologies, history and philosophical visions of yoga. Our trainings are held in person at the studio although hybrid online option is available if needed. Upon completion of our 200 and 300-Hour Training, students are eligible to register with Yoga Alliance and hours can go towards Anusara Yoga certification.
